Pounding. Pounding relentlessly on the ground. The earth seemed to tremble with every step she took. Farther. Farther away from her home, hidden away in the forest. Each silver hoof glinted in the withering moon. She would be nothing but a streak of white, a phantom through the forest. Each step was harder to take than the last. Yet she pushed, cutting through the tangle of vines and branches. She had to find a mortal, a mortal who could see her for what she truly was.
